I'm Don Ireland, the guy who's started this new and entrepreneurial drone business venture.
(Fingers crossed.) Life is short, so let's enjoy ever positive minute that we can!
My current fleet includes three prosumer drones, capable of shooting 48 megapixel photos and 4K videos. They're great for serving the needs of newspapers and small businesses.
Puddy was a rescue cat from Dumb Friends League in Denver. He now rules our home. I named my 1st drone "The Flying Puddy" because the real Puddy always seems to be flying around the house (if he's not sleeping or asking for food).
I currently am a free-lance writer for the Denver Business Journal and contribute stories to other Colorado publications. Received 4 Colorado Press Association awards in September 2023. Previously won in the Pennsylvania Newspapers Publishers Association and inducted into the Tri-State News Service Sports Hall of Fame.
As a gig worker since 2015, I drove with Uber and have maintained a consistent Diamond Pro status. My 5-star customer rating and more than 10,000 five-star reviews speak for my ability to deliver a positive customer experience. Previously, served in managerial and regional roles in retail.
Just completed more than 10 years as president at Third Cherry Creek Townhouse Corp. in Denver (Cherry Creek 3 HOA). Involved with Plant Select, Colorado WaterWise and Audubon Rockies' Habitat Hero program. Appeared in two environmental documentaries on water conservation during recent years.
(Although they added me to the picture)
Beam me up, anyway! I was filed as part of an NBC "Today Show" segment with Uber in 2018. Fox 31 Denver profiled me as an Uber driver a few years ago, too.
The late Clayton Moore was an inspiring man, starring on TV shows and in the movies for several decades on "The Lone Ranger."
I hosted regular local Cable TV programs as a teen (it was black-and-white TV then) in the early 70s). Did many radio shows.
Served as the in-house stadium announcer for 15 seasons at the University of Pittsburgh, including as many as six sports programs and Big East Conference events. I also announced at several high schools that won regional and state sports titles. My voice was used on TV and radio commercials and programs.
During the past decade, I've spoken to thousands of Colorado residents at conferences, churches, adult education classes, garden centers, libriaries and in locations from Steamboat Springs to Colorado Springs and around the Front Range.
I have spoken about water conservation, the need for water-wise Plant Select and native plants and related topics to HOA leaders, environmentally-concerned citizens and groups in Colorado. Last year, I spoke to a group in Chief Colorw's cave.
